A story bible that keeps itself.
StoryVue is story bible software for novelists and series writers. Record what changes in a scene once, and every later scene knows: who has met whom, who knows the secret, how old everyone is, and what is still unresolved. When you want it on paper, the World Bible prints it. The planning is free forever, with no AI anywhere in it.

How do you keep track of characters in a novel?
Most writers keep a story bible: a document of every character, place and rule that has to stay consistent. It works until the draft moves faster than the document, and then it quietly goes stale.
StoryVue keeps the bible inside the story. A wound, a secret learned, a sword handed over is recorded once, in the scene where it happens, and every later scene lists it. Each entry shows every scene it appears in, every mention in your prose, and its nicknames, so nothing hides under another name.
Who knew what, and when.
Open any scene and the earlier changes are already there, in order, as read-only context. Click a name and its full entry opens beside you, with every scene it appears in. That's the part of a story bible nobody has time to maintain by hand.

Dates, ages and point of view, on one timeline.
Give scenes in-world dates and characters birth dates, and every scene knows how old everyone is and how many days have passed. Point of view links to a character, so it follows a rename. Custom calendars with your own months and eras are part of World Builder.

Continuity checks before a reader finds the gap.
Three of the thirteen writer tools exist for continuity. They count and cross-reference what you built, and never rewrite a word.
Chronology
Dates that run backwards, undated scenes between dated ones, and characters on stage before they are born or after they die.
Loose Ends
What is still open at the last scene: conditions never resolved, relationships left hanging, open margin notes.
Reader Knowledge
Characters and places mentioned in the prose before the reader has met them.

Print the bible, or a spoiler-safe handout.
The World Bible export turns your story into a print-ready PDF, in a theme you design: characters, places, maps, family trees and calendars. Stop it at any scene for a beta reader, or print only what your players have met.

A series bible for Book 2.
Start a sequel from any story and tick what comes along. Each entry arrives as it stands at the end of the earlier book, with what is still true about it on the sequel's first scene. They are copies, so changing Book 2 never rewrites Book 1.

What is still true
The sequel's first scene holds every change still in effect at the end of Book 1.
Bring in more later
Add characters or places from the earlier book whenever they turn up again.
