656 monsters, already in the box.
StoryVue's 5e bestiary bundles both System Reference Documents, the 2014 and the 2024 rules: 656 openly licensed monster stat blocks, searchable by name, challenge rating and type. Add one to your world in a click and it becomes a creature like any other, ready for the next fight.
Create your account
Search it like a monster manual.
Narrow the list by a challenge rating range and a creature type, switch either rules set on or off, and read the full stat block beside the list: abilities, saves, senses, traits, actions, bonus actions, reactions and legendary actions.

From the bestiary to the table.
The bestiary feeds the encounter builder, so a monster you find is a few clicks from rolling initiative.
Find the creature. Search by name, then narrow by challenge rating and type.
Add it to your world. Add to my world copies the stat block in as a creature, staged and connected like any character. The list marks what is already in your world.
Build the fight. Add it to an encounter, check the balance against your party, then run initiative.
Roll from the stat block. Click an attack to roll it against a target's AC, with damage rolled per packet and applied full or half.
Bring the rest of the table.
The bestiary covers the monsters. Your players' characters come in from their own sheets.
D&D Beyond characters
Pick the PDF from D&D Beyond's Export to PDF. It is read entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.
Paste a stat block
Adding a creature to an encounter also takes a stat block pasted as JSON.

The rest of the game master tools.
The bestiary lives on the World Builder plan with the rest of the suite, and every account includes one free trial of the top plan.
Encounter builder
Build the fight from your own creatures or the bundled bestiary, then run initiative in the same place.
Dice & random tables
Dice as plain text, weighted tables that say what they roll, and ten ready to roll. Paste your own with its odds.
Campaign prep
Plan the night from scenes already on your timeline, and let a half-played one split forward instead of stalling.
Game Master suite
Run the same world at the table: sessions, encounters, initiative, and dice. World Builder, $15/mo.
